A home wound care visit starts at AED 200. To keep pricing simple and transparent, we ask families to purchase the dressings themselves, or we can supply them at cost if they are an item we regularly stock. It depends on the wound. Changing a dressing more often than needed can actually disturb the healing environment and slow recovery, so modern wound care favours leaving the right dressing in place for as long as it is safe to do so. After assessing how your wound is behaving, your nurse consults with the ordering physician to agree the right approach. For example, a wound with high exudate (heavy fluid) might seem to need changing twice a day — but our wound care team would usually prefer to switch to a more absorbent dressing so that once-daily, or even less frequent, changes are enough. The goal is always to protect the healing environment while keeping the wound clean and comfortable.

Yes. Our nurses are experienced in negative pressure wound therapy, commonly known as VAC (vacuum-assisted closure) dressings, which support healing in certain complex or slow-healing wounds. We manage VAC therapy at home in close coordination with your treating doctor or surgeon.

Not every pharmacy stocks every type of dressing, so we help families source what they need. We commonly obtain dressings from Arabian Home Care Medical Supplies, the American Hospital pharmacy (in the outpatient clinic on the ground floor), and Life Pharmacy, Al Wasl branch. More complex or specialist dressings are usually stocked by the hospital. Once we assess your wound, we tell you exactly which dressings are required and where to find them — or we can supply them for you at cost if they are an item we regularly stock.
