Does homecare regulations honor DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) requests at home?
As of 2026, DNR has been implemented only in selected hospitals, where advanced policies and committees are in place in line with the laws of the UAE. A signed DNR document is valid only within the hospital where it applies — not in the home setting. Because these are deeply personal and complex decisions, we believe they deserve a face-to-face conversation. We recommend checking the latest UAE regulations and discussing this matter directly with the Palliative Care Consultants at the hospital.
